Timitar, the Amazigh & world music festival, was born in July 2004 in Agadir, capital of Souss Massa Drâa Region (Morocco). Since its inception, the audience’s passion for the artists and programme of this prominent event has grown to form an intense spirit distinct to this festival.
This joy and fever is an affirmation that music is the highest level of spirituality.
The quality of invited artists, both Moroccan and international, along with the extremely warm welcome of the audience and the media are evidence that what was at first an adventure has now become a notable event, which celebrates today its 6th year of existence.
2010 Timitar edition will be held from 6 to 10 July and will be a focal point in the cultural and festive life of Agadir and the South of Morocco.
Timitar festival has become an eagerly anticipated event in the Moroccan cultural landscape. Considered today as one of the biggest festivals in the country, Timitar provides its audience with an event well rooted in and actively working towards promoting Souss Massa Drâa culture.
Every year, Timitar festival presents the best of traditional and contemporary repertoires from different parts of the globe. Reviews about visa experiences
Morocco is not known to be hard with African nationals willing to enter legally into the country. Morocco has always been the host country of many french speaking African students. Sub Saharan artists represent a significant percentage in Moroccan Music festivals programs.
However, there might be some difficulties now, with the flow of clandestine immigrants passing by Morocco to Europe.
