Mission “To generate greater public appreciation of visual arts by advancing skills and opportunities for artists and strengthening local audiences”
Objectives
1.Kenyan artists and other artists within the region shall have acquired improved artistic knowledge and skills and broadened their definition of art through training and cultural exchange.
2.Kuona Trust shall have established a wider audience that appreciates and is involved in art throughout Kenya.
3.To enhance Kuona networks among regional, African and International Artists and art organizations by the year 2009.
4.To secure, increase and diversify Kuona’s funding base by the year 2009
5.Kuona Trust shall be a strong, well governed and well managed non-profit organization with a highly motivated and competent staff and strong operational systems and procedures.
6.With it's activities Kuona in particular wants to support, promote and develop both women artists in Kenya, East Africa and across the continent through our international exchange programme and local activities, and women and girls within the Kenyan public through artist-led outreach and community projects.
